Introducing Our Butterbean
Butterbean (BB for short) is a 5 year old mini jersey cow, measuring 44 inches at the hip (tall mini, makes for easy milking). BB is registered with the AMJA. She is A1A2, homo polled, non-chondro and disease tested. She has a great udder and has had 2 beautiful heifers unassisted. She is very well halter trained and can be hand or machine milked just tied to a fence with a bit of hay. She is currently bred to an A2A2 homo polled 42" bull (Sure Shot Pendelton baby) and due in late May or early June. Sire is AMJA registered as well. She gave us 1 1/2 gallons with once daily milking but we couldn't milk regularly and she was calf sharing as well. She has potential for three gallons a day if milking twice daily. She is a wonderful family milk cow and we love having her on the property! BB loves chin scratches and is good with kids!
